One of the greatest repositories of knowledge and experience we have are our Seniors. What they have learned from life and living, are skills and capabilities that take a life time or two to have proficiency in.
Yet in the sunset years of their lives, they are discarded and treated as if because they have aged. we do not see any value in who they are or what they have accomplished. This thinking however is not the thinking of W.I.S.E.
W.I.S.E. believes these women are the root of all women living in this moment in our history. And as such our belief is we should provide them with companionship, love, assurance, emotional balance and safety of every description.
We believe too it is our obligation to not only spend time and communicate with our Seniors but to provide transportation for them, make deliveries for them, prepare meals for and assist with daily living needs wherever possible.
But even more we are to be resources of compassion, willing to be “in touch” whether to be so is convenient to W.I.S.E. members in the day time or night time. When it comes to the wellbeing of our Seniors, convenience will never be the deciding factor.
